Instead of taking a “one size fits all” approach, Leupold has used over 100 years of experience in the optics and surveying industries to redefine golf rangefinders with a simple principle: customize them to the individual golfer’s needs. With Leupold’s exclusive PinHunter laser technology, Prism Lock capability, Fog mode and seven selectable aiming reticles, the GX-4 utilizes cutting edge micro-processing circuitry and an advanced infrared laser to accurately and consistently hunt down the pin in virtually any weather conditions.Taking customization to the extreme, the removable Smart Key of the GX-4 adds the incredible benefit of Ture Golf Range (TGR) and the Club Selector, giving you the confidence you need to play the right shot every time. TGR provides ranging information matched to your personal hitting strength, the slope of the shot and current conditions to accurately compensate for uphill shots that play long and downhill shots that play short. First, this range finder boasts a True Ballistic Range, or TDR, system. This system takes the need out of adjusting and compensating for angles on uphill and downhill shots. The work is done for you. TDR gives you increased accuracy at long distances, really making every shot count. This is just one great feature you’ll find.
This Leupold also has a Ballistic Aiming System with seven individual settings for rifle hunters and three settings for bow hunters. Customers who bought this particular item found that, while its maximum range is 750 yards with accuracy within one yard, with the Ballistic Aiming System, it’s been shown to be effective to 800 yards for most rifle cartridges.
One more cool technical feature is the customizable Match 13 Reticle System. It gives you the right reticle for any situation or any size target.
Not only does this range finder have all these great technical features, making it tailored to your readings no matter the conditions when using the multiple modes feature, it also has a Quick Set Rotary Menu, making it intuitive and easy to use. It’s all backed, of course, by the uncomparable Leupold reputation for excellent quality and customer service.
So, how do you get a great deal on a Leupold RX II Laser Rangefinder? There are a few online stores selling this range finder. Some of them offer discounts, coupons or free shipping. Leupold’s GX-II has all the features of the GX-I, plus is the only golf rangefinder to provide accurate ranging information that matches your personal striking distances to the slope of the course and current atmospheric conditions. Two more proprietary technologies are merged in this unit: Club Selector and TGR™. Leupold’s Club Selector™ relies on the striking distance of each golfer to determine the appropriate trajectory of the ball to give the most accurate horizontal distance possible. TGR™ combines the information from Club Selector with uphill or downhill slope, elevation and temperature, to fine tune this distance to a level no other rangefinder can match. The result is incredibly accurate ranging, no matter what the conditions, customized for your game.

New Leupold Vendetta Rangefinder
Leupold Vendetta Rangefinder
Hunting optics manufacturer Leupold didn’t just come out with a new rangefinder, they created a whole new category: the bow mounted laser rangefinder. The new Leupold Vendetta rangefinder mounts to the riser on your bow and can be used when you are at full draw. No you don’t look through it, that was my first thought too, it actually has a red LED screen on the back of the unit that displays the range so you can easily see it during hunting situations.
Sighting In
The Vendetta rangefinder unit has a visible laser that is used only for sighting in purposes and is not used during hunting. To sight in the Vendetta you use your top sight pin and adjust the visible laser until it is ranging parallel with your top pin. Since, your top pin cannot be in perfect alignment with the Vendetta, if it was you couldn’t see your pins, it will always be off by the amount of offset from your top pin to the Vendetta rangefinder. This distance should only be a few inches, and as long as you follow the sight in procedures and have the rangefinder aiming parallel, this will be close enough for aiming the rangefinder in the field.
Ranging
The new Leupold rangefinder has a short cable lead coming from the base of the unit and that cable has a trigger mechanism on the end. This trigger button is mounted on the handle of your bow so that you can use it to activate the rangefinder while at full draw. This rangefinder also has a scan mode so once you have drawn your bow you can follow your target as it gets closer and the range will be constantly updated, no need to press the button twenty different times just hold it down and the yardage will update on the red LED screen.
Notes
The Leupold Vendetta is not legal in all states for hunting purposes, so be sure and check your state’s laws or visit the Leupold website to see if it is legal for hunting in your area. As of this writing many online stores had these units listed with the majority of them asking 0; however, none of the stores had them in stock. So like with many new hunting optics these might be difficult to find for awhile.
